The Dyer County Softball tournament in Clarksville for Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13 has been cancelled. The Dyer County Baseball game at Lexington on Saturday, April 13 has been cancelled and rescheduled for Wednesday, April 17 at Lexington.
Congratulations to the following students who placed in the Top Ten at the Math Competition this past Tuesday:
Algebra II-Ryan Evans placed 2nd, Nic Hermann placed 3rd, and Molly Campbell placed 9th.
Pre-Calculus-Gage Gatlin placed 8th

Congratulations to the Dyer County FFA Chapter! During Regional competitions last night, Sierra Alexander was named as the West Tennessee FFA President! The FFA Floriculture team placed 5th in West Tennessee! Team members were Lynsey Akins, Lynn Davis, Mason Allen, and Annaleigh Escobar. The Landscape team placed 4th in West Tennessee and will advance to the State level in two weeks! Team members are Olivia Lock, Macy Jones, Kade Anderson, and Hannah Collins.

Due to electrical problems, the start time for the Dyer County/Hardin County varsity baseball game on Wednesday, April 10 is being changed to 4:30pm. JV game will follow as time permits.
The Academic Banquet will be held Thursday, April 11th at 6:00 PM. Tickets are on sale in the front office.
Any sophomore that would like to know what they made on their practice ACT test, please see Ms. Lorri Riddick in the Library.

Dyersburg State Community College will be hosting their Spring Preview day from 5:30-7:00 pm this evening. Parents and guardians are invited with their students.

There will be a club-wide meeting for all service club members on today in the Commons after school. If you cannot attend this meeting, there will be a meeting Thursday morning at 7:15 A.M. in the Library.
The Dyer County High School baseball game scheduled for Thursday, April 4th versus Briarcrest High School has been rescheduled for Saturday, April 6th. The varsity game will start at 11:00am and the jv game will following.
The first ever Dyer County soccer tournament will be held this Friday and Saturday featuring multiple teams playing on the football and soccer fields all day. Playing times have been posted around the school. Please come out and show your support.

The faculty and staff will present Faculty Follies 2019 this afternoon! Tickets are on sale for $5.
The annual talent show will be held Friday, April 5th. If you are interested in being a contestant, please fill out the application found on your class’s Google Classroom. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Powers, Mrs. King, or Mrs. Reachel. The deadline to apply is today.
Juniors: Boys & Girls State Applications are available in the Guidance Office and in your Google Classroom for eligible and interested students. Deadline is today by 3:00 pm.
Dyer County School System will be closed on March 18-22 for Spring Break.

The DCHS Drama Club will be presenting the Spring Production of “Radium Girls” tonight. Everyone is invited to attend tonight and tomorrow night at 7pm in the DCHS Theatre.
The deadline to register for the April 13th ACT is today. If you are planning on taking Dual Enrollment classes next school year, you must have an acceptable ACT score. As a reminder, in order to take DE Statistics, you must have a 19 in Math; for College Algebra, you must have a 22 in the Math; for DE Composition I/II, you must have a 19 in English and Reading; for DE Biology I/II you must have a 19 in Science; for DE US History I/II, you must have a 19 in Reading. Students register and pay online @ act.org.
Juniors: Please fill out the ACT Calculator Request Form for the in your Google Classroom by 3:00pm today.

The faculty and staff will present Faculty Follies 2019 on March 15t! Tickets will go on sale March 11th for $5.
The annual talent show will be held Friday, April 5th. If you are interested in being a contestant, please fill out the application found on your class’s Google Classroom. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Powers, Mrs. King, or Mrs. Reachel. The deadline to apply is March 15th.

Track, Cross Country, and Diamond Doll pictures for the Yearbook will be made after school today in the DCHS Facility.

Emma Chandler - freshman, Maddie Lucas - freshman, Jon Mark Castleman - sophomore, and Sierra Alexander - junior participated in the Student Congress on Policies in Education conference hosted by the Tennessee School Board Association in Murfreesboro on Tuesday, March 5th. They were able to explore various educational issues through discussion and debate and closed the day by meeting as a congress and voting on debated issues.

Freshmen: The PSAT 8/9 will be given at DCHS on April 9th. Students need to pre-register in their google classroom and stop by Guidance to pick up a registration packet. Deadline to register and pay the $11 test fee is March 1st.
Juniors & Seniors: Prom 2019 will be held on April 27th. We need you to fill out a quick form in your google classrooms. Please fill out this short form by Friday, March 1st at 3pm.
Juniors: There will be an ACT Boot Camp on Thursday, March 7th and Friday, March 8. You are not required to attend all sessions, but you must register for the sessions you want/need in your Class of 2020 Google Classroom by noon on March 5th.
FFA Members: There will be a chapter meeting on March 5th at 6:30 pm, during the same time as the Alumni meeting. Pizza and drinks will be provided and Ag Olympic winners will receive their prizes.

All participants must be 15 years or older and must pass a pretest, which includes a 300-yard swim, a timed 10lb weight test, and 2 minute tread using only your legs. The cost of this class is $210 and the certification is valid for 2 years. Space is limited to 10 individuals per class. All registration and questions must be done by contacting Shelley Stout at (731) 881-7718 or sstout@utm.edu.

Congratulations to the Dyer County Lady Choctaws on defeating Hardin County in the semi-finals of the region tournament. The Lady Choctaws will face Arlington High School in the region finals on tonight, February 27 at 7:00 at Munford High School. Come out and support the Lady Choctaws!
The ACT +5 group picture will be taken on Thursday during break. Please dress accordingly on these days.
Any young lady that is interested in becoming a Diamond Doll needs to pick up an application today in room 2005. Applications are due back tomorrow. Diamond Dolls are responsible for helping the baseball team during the home games this season.
The DCHS HOSA Spring Blood Drive will be held tomorrow. Students will need to see Mrs. Flagg in room 3010 to sign up.
