The band traveled to Peabody High School to compete at the WTSBOA Marching Festival and the Peabody Marching Invitational. The band earned the following ratings: Superior Field Commander Superior Percussion Superior Band Excellent Color Guard The band also earned: 1st Field Commander 2nd Percussion 2nd Color Guard 3rd Band in Class 2A In small division, the band earned: 1st Field Commander 2nd Percussion 2nd Color Guard 2nd Highest Music Literacy Drive The Community Service Class wants to thank everyone that participated in the book drive. DCHS collected a total of 1200 books to donate to charity. Mr. Perea’s 2nd block class won the competition by donating a total of 356 books! SENIOR NIGHT-Volleyball and Soccer! Tonight is Senior Night for the Lady Choctaw Volleyball and Soccer teams! FFA Any first year FFA member interested in attending this year’s regional Greenhand Conference needs to sign up with one of the Ag instructors. Conference will be held on Saturday, October 5th. Cost to attend is $10 and the deadline to sign up is September 25th. Literacy Month DCHS will be collecting "gently" used or new books from each 2nd block class. The 2nd block that collects the most books will receive a pizza party! All books will be donated throughout the county to local libraries and charities.
