Dyersburg State is offering a “Learning How to Succeed” college course at DCHS in the spring semester during 1st block on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To be eligible, students can not have missed more than 6 days of school or have any discipline incidents higher than a detention during this semester . ASVAB testing will be conducted on November 7th for Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors. This test is a great resource for students that are interested in measuring their developed abilities while also predicting future academic and occupational success. The sign up list is in the Guidance Office. All students will go to first block class and then be dismissed to the Theater by the office. The test will be proctored by the local Army Recruiters and the results are valid for any of the armed services; students will not incur any obligation to serve. Seniors: FAFSA Frenzy Night will be tonight from 5-8 at Dyer County High School. This is for any senior that needs help filling out the FAFSA. You and your parent or guardian will need to bring their 2017 tax information and your Chromebook. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Natalie: Nataliemedling@dcchoctaws.net
Play rehearsal will last until 5pm today and no Tech crew will run.
There will be an ACT test tomorrow for all Seniors. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will take a practice ACT and will need to provide their own calculators. Breakfast will be served at 7:30am tomorrow morning before the test!
Powderpuff 2018 will be held on Thursday, October 25th at 6pm. You can look at your grade’s google classroom for more information. The tournament will be single elimination only and only the first 8 teams to sign up and pay their entry fee will be placed in the bracket. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Community Cancer Fund. If you are interested in being a powderpuff cheerleader, please sign up using the form in your grade’s Google Classroom. 4. Dress in layers to compensate for the room temperature.
5. Calculator will be furnished if you responded to Google Classroom questionnaire.
6. Bring #2 lead pencils.
